John C. Oliver IV is the founder of Oliver Insurance Brokerage - A full-service corporate insurance brokerage firm based in Austin, Texas. The firm currently provides brokerage and advisory services to clients of all sizes, from small Family Businesses to Multinational Corporations. With a two-decade-long presence in the corporate insurance market, Oliver Insurance Brokerage specializes in matters related to Estate Planning for High-Net-Worth Individuals, Business Continuity Planning, and Employee Benefits.
Born and raised in Austin, John is a family man with deep roots in the local community. He is a strong and active supporter of local youth, educational, and civic organizations, regularly contributing to their initiatives and serving on their boards. He was an active executive committee and board member of the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo for over ten years, retiring from the board in 2014. His love and devotion towards Austin’s community and businesses led to the formation of Oliver Insurance Brokerage.
John’s family has a long history of helping businesses understand and overcome operational problems and thrive by using innovative solutions. John’s great grandfather founded a company in the early 1900s to solve a problem that plagued numerous oil and gas businesses in Texas - Fire protection. While finishing his bachelor’s degree, John joined his father’s insurance agency and quickly cultivated a passion for the insurance industry. Not long thereafter, he founded Oliver Insurance Brokerage after his graduation from The University of Texas in 2000. John’s business-oriented upbringing and vast experience with his family businesses have helped him develop a sharp and tactile mind which is the heart and soul of the operations at Oliver Insurance Brokerage.
